These stalky, three fingered insectoids are famous for their bulbous heads and their multi-faceted eyes. Rather than skin, they sport an exoskeleton, which comes in various shades of yellow, brown, or green.

Creatively, the Gand world of origin is called simply "Gand." You can guess what the name of their capital city is. Since being introduced to space travel, however, the Gand have spread to every corner of the galaxy, and are particularly persistent in dry, arid climes. Because of their reliance on harsh sulfuric fumes native to their homeworld, Gand are always seen with a surgically implanted breath mask.

The Gand race have little in the way of social skills. In fact, they find the concept of friendship as alien as oxygen. Instinctual hunters, the Gand do have a sophisticated love of finding and eating things which do not want to be found or eaten. Ironic, considering their asexual method of reproduction, in which they clone themselves, and are eventually eaten alive from the inside out by their clone. Of course, the sentients of the galaxy are left to wonder how an entire race could be propagated by this method of reproduction. The Gand are a curious species, indeed.
